The Problem

  • Godrej , a leading FMCG brand in India is on SAP since last 15 years . They were following Standard costing system and hence were not able to get actual profitability reports on different dimensions like product , product group , Brand , Sales channel wise
  • Challenge was to implement Actual costing system and re implement COPA on an already live system .


  • Implement Product costing to design Costing and overhead accounting system .
  • Implemented Actual costing / Material ledger to calculate actual cost at the Batch level
  • Implemented Batch valuation.
